Based on the internationally acclaimed children’s book by Els Pelgrom, this is the story of terminally ill seven-year-old Sophie, who has a strong will and a curious spirit. One night her dolls come to life to stage a play called: What Life Has To Offer. Sophie decides to join and she and her cat are swept into the world of her toy theatre. During her adventures she loses her friends to the temptations of life. All alone, her fear of being a misfit becomes a reality and she ends up in a home for failed children. There, Sophie finds the strength to reunite her friends and save her favorite rag doll from the gallows, sacrificing herself in the process. Sophie's parents grieve over their loss, but Sophie's resilient spirit triumphs; reunited with her friends once more, she sets off on an endless journey.
